Bouteflika Meets With Merkel At The End Of Her Visit To Algeria
President of the Republic, Abdelaziz Bouteflika, receives, here on Monday, the German Chancellor, Angela Merkel, who paid an official visit to Algeria.
The meeting was attended by the Prime Minister, Ahmed Ouyahia, Foreign Minister, Abdelkader Messahel, Interior and Local Communities Minister, Noureddine Badoui, and the Industry and Mines Minister, Youcef Yousfi.
The Presidency of the Republic explained that Merkel’s visit to Algeria falls within the framework of bilateral high-level consultation, which comes “to tighten the existing friendly relationships and cooperation between Algeria and the Federal Republic of Germany, which is witnessing significant development in all fields, as reflected mainly in the many visits that were exchanged between the senior officials of both countries.”
Algerian-German meeting will be a “new opportunity for the two countries to continue consultations and think about the promotion of bilateral political dialogue and focus on establishing an important bilateral economic and trade partnership that will expand and deepen in the coming period.”
